What can I say to you that hasn't already been said before? Probably not much. Judging by what I see, here, you've washed your hands of this place -- and with complete justification, no less. If things really have gotten that bad in so short a period of time, then I don't blame you one bit.

But for what it's worth, I hope that you'll see fit to come back and rejoin us. Speaking one on one, I count you as an intellectual colleague of mine, and someone whose input, opinion, and support I've come to value -- and for me personally, I'd truly hate to lose that. I'd hate to lose it because of all the wonderul talks we've had, the counter-arguments back and forth, the occasional shared giggle -- they were some of the things that I really looked forward to after meeting you here.

I just wanted to let you know that.
